Choosing the Perfect Color for Your Puja Room: Enhancing Positive Vibes
Shiva Om, dear friend,
With limited experience and understanding, I often prefer Pure White as the color for a Pooja/ Meditation room or any designated space. Pooja is a highly satvik activity, and thus, Pure White appears to be the most satvik color for this purpose. It promotes a sense of calmness, which helps in settling any unease or unrest that might exist within the mind and soul.
Not only should the walls but also the flooring, cupboards, and curtains of the Pooja room be in white to create a cohesive atmosphere and ward off negative vibes. The color white also gives a sense of spaciousness and openness, which is especially helpful for small Pooja rooms. This color choice does not make the space feel cramped, contributing to a more welcoming and peaceful environment.
Avoiding Overdesigning in Your Puja Room
Avoid using elaborate designs or overdesigned elements in the flooring or any other part of the temple. Keeping the Pooja room simple makes it easier to achieve a state of peace for an extended period. White is universally recognized as a color of peace and love, and since Pooja is primarily a place for peace and love, Pure White is the most appropriate color without any doubt.
Yellow or Orange: Positive Vibrations for Your Pooja Room
While Yellow or Orange are colors that can bring positive vibes, it is important to note that auspiciousness is subjective and originates from one's mental state. The choice of color does not inherently make a space auspicious; it is the intention and the ambiance created that truly matters. Incorporating such colors can enhance the energy of the space but ultimately, the emotional state of the worshipper plays a vital role in the experience.
Remember, these suggestions are not exhaustive but rather guidelines to help you create a serene and positive environment for your worship activities. I earnestly hope that this simple advice has been both meaningful and useful to you.
With warmest regards,
